The Holiday Drink – The Method
WHere is an easy version of a cocktail from the seasonal cocktail list. Designed as a large-volume pre-mixed which is bursting with the tastes of a festive period, rendering it perfect for a festive gathering. Reserve the remaining cordial you can use for morning drinks, desserts, or for more rounds of the drink.
Bikini Recipe
Makes enough for 10 servings
To make the Clementine Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Drink (yields 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Method
Making the Cordial: Put every components inside a pan, bring to a simmer, stirring to dissolve. Next, take off the burner and leave to cool entirely. Pour to a sealable bottle, close it and store in the refrigerator, it can be stored for about a month.
To make Premix: Mix the specified liquid ingredients in a sizeable container, leave to sit for an hour, then pass it through best through cheesecloth, making it completely strained.
When ready to serve: Add 85ml of your batch mix to a stirring glass containing ice, gently stirring carefully for a minute to cool it down. Strain to a chilled martini glass or similar, top with a few cranberries and complete it by giving it a light spray of mandarin oil over the drink.
