I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
